Kaupfélag Skagfirðinga

Kaupfélag Skagfirðinga is one of Iceland's oldest cooperatives and has been a cornerstone of business and community life in Skagafjörður for over a century. The society runs retail stores, a building-supply department, a slaughterhouse, and diverse industry in Sauðárkrókur and across the fjord.

The cooperative's grocery stores are in Sauðárkrókur (Skagfirðingabúð) and Hofsós — serving residents, farmers, and travellers across the northwest of Iceland. The store at Ártorg is the heart of KS retail operations.
